1. 1 lb green beans
  2. 1 lb mushrooms
  3. 2 patties of vegetarian hamburger, crumbled
  4. 2 Tbsp chopped scallions
  5. 1 cup vegetable oil for deep fry
  6. 1 tsp sesame oil
  7. 1 Tbsp Soy sauce
  8. 2 Tbsp water or vegetable broth
  9. 1 tsp sugar

Preparation and Cooking

     Remove the ends of the green beans and cut in half.  Wash and drain.  Remove the stems from the mushrooms, wash and drain well.  In a small bowl, mix together soy sauce, sugar, and water.  Heat a frying pan with a cup of oil, add green beans and mushroom, turn the heat down to hi-med and cook for 5 minutes.  Drain the oil and use paper towels to soak oil off green beans and mushrooms.  Heat another frying pan until white smoke appears, add 1 Tbsp of vegetable oil and garlic, fry until fragrant.  Next pour in hamburger meat and fry until crispy outside.  Add green beans, mushroom, sauce mixture, mix well, and cook with high heat.  Finally add scallions and sprinkle sesame oil and cook for 1 minute.  You will have a wonderful Stir-Fried Green Beans with Mushrooms dish.
