1. 4 or 5 potatoes
  2. 1 large onion, cut in small wedges
  3. 1/2 hay 1 package of vegetarian pork, cut in thin strips
  4. Soy sauce (1 tablespoon)
  5. Sugar (1/2 teaspoon)
  6. Black pepper
  7. Vegetable Oil (1 cup)

  Preparation and Cooking

      Peel potatoes and cut into 1/2 inch as French fries.  Wash and drain the cut potatoes.  Put vegetable or corn oil on a deep-fry pot. When the oil is hot, drop the cut potato pieces (1a) and fry until the potatoes are cooked, golden and crispy.  Place cooked potatoes on paper towels to absorb the excess oil.  Pour out all oil from the pot and use the pot to cook. Place cut onions (2a) and vegetarian pork (3a) into the pot and fry quickly.  As soon as the pork is a bit golden, stir the cooked potatoes into the pot.  Then, pour soy sauce and sugar, stir well and serve onto a plate, sprinkle with a bit of black pepper.

Note:  If you like onions to be crispy, then stir the onions at the same time with cooked potatoes.  You can find the vegetarian pork at any Asian grocery store. You may also substitute the vegetarian pork with any other food that you enjoy; for example, mushrooms, cabbage, or veggie burger would work well and taste very good.
